Although our medium-sized business has been existing since 2003 only, we have access to many years of experience in the field hydro power.

Already during his school days in 1988, the current CEO, Mr. Carsten Arndt, joined the Saxon Mill Association „Mühlenverein“ (Cultural Association of the GDR) at the age of 14. The autodidactic exploration of craft businesses historically operated with hydro power, equipped with rule and camera, gave first permanent impressions.

In 1992, during his cooperation in the reactivation process of the hydro power station „Höllmühle“ near Schellenberg in Saxony, the decision was made to transform teenage idealism into a profession.

The knowledge of historical craftsmanship of former millwrights and contemporary computer-operated hydro power stations was consolidated through practical tasks in specialized mentoring companies. Simultaneously, the necessary qualifications were acquired.

Our work consists in particular of the implementation of all the components of hydro power stations such as weir systems, millstreams, powerhouses and fish ladders. To assure a smooth and efficient construction progress with the different subsections to the fullest satisfaction of the constructor, we are working hand in hand with well-known companies. In addition to this, our business also includes the trade with second-hand equipment and the procurement of locations as well as the power enhancement of your existing plant.

The approach to new projects is still very fascinating for us because, in the end, every hydro power plant is unique and its construction requires the utmost care in every phase of the project. During the whole of the process, economical aspects, official charges, particularities of the location and the individual wishes of the constructor must be reconciled.

Thanks to this enthusiastic approach, every first connection of a new power station is an amazing experience for our staff because the quality of their own work will be measured with the power meter of the station.
